02-02-21 // FINAL REFLECTION

FEEDBACK BUDDY LYNN FEEDBACK BUDDY ELKE REFLECTION JESSE REFLECTION AMBER This is our final reflection. We tried to reflect on every blog, but this reflection is more focused on how we experienced the process of our project. In this reflection, we will mostly reflect on the project process and our own process, but also on the feedback from our feedback buddies. Our sharable partly serves as a reflection already, but in this reflection, we will elaborate more on our growth on a personal and professional level.  We have used the Double Diamond model in every "Challenge the Challenge" to illustrate our process. Our last project phase was in the Development phases: the start of the actual design process, the actual making of the solution to the problem defined in phases one and two. Although we now understand the situation better, we have taken a critical look at the different perspectives, and know what problems this neighborhood is facing, we are actually still in the middle of...

26-01-2021 // SHARABLE

Even though we hand in our shareable as a tangible project, we also post the content on the blog so the shareable is accessible to everyone. INTRODUCTION  The city of Eindhoven is growing and has ambitions to transform the Brainport area into an internationally interesting junction with its unique TDK profile. TDK stands for Tech, Design and Knowledge; a rare combination of core qualities that form the specific skill set of the city. ABCD as strategy Rekindling Democracy Demarcation This week we planned the last three conversations for this project. The first conversation this week was with Mike. He lives in the Regentekwartier and has always been amazed at the overdue maintenance in this part of the center. Mike thinks you can't expect much from the people who live in this area; mainly seniors and expats do live here who are most likely not open to being actively involved. Many things have been promised to the inhabitants of this area, which has not been fulfilled. This makes people passive towards taking initiative’’ He is, however, willing to actively contribute ideas and think about the possibilities, including social initiative. We also spoke with Atul, who is originally from India and works as a technical leader-electronics for Philips. He notices that hardly anyone in the neighborhood knows each other. He would like to see that differently; a connected neighborhood can ultimately achieve much more togeth...
